Although a lifetime of creativity led me to obtain a degree in Fine Art from Falmouth University, my time there was spent exploring sculpture and installation. After graduating, I was struck unexpectedly with a massive venous blood clot that affected my spine and led to a chronic pain condition, and I lost touch with art for a few years while my medical dramas took priority.

I began my coloured pencil journey as a way to keep occupied during a long recovery from one of many surgeries by drawing my perfect Labrador, Alfie, while he was sleeping next to me. Although we sadly lost him last year, this drawing of him lives in my studio so that he can always keep me company while I draw, just as he always did.

 As I fell in love with the gradual, mindful process of coloured pencils, I began to draw for family and friends, and set up an Instagram page to track the progress of my drawing. It has since grown into a global business that brings me so much joy, combining my love for art, our beloved pets, and bringing happiness to people all over the world that just love their animals (and we all know these are the best kinds of people).
