"I genuinely don’t think I could put into words just how grateful I am to have found such an incredible artist to create something so incredibly special for my family. I commissioned a portrait of my childhood dog, who had very recently passed away, as a birthday present for my mum. This was an incredibly emotional and sentimental piece for me to have commissioned, as he was such a huge part of our lives and our family for so many years. I was quite last minute with my request, so I completely understood that there might not have been a possibility to fit my portrait in. However, Lauren was so unbelievably kind, understanding and accommodating and very happily took my commission on board. I genuinely cannot thank her enough for going out of her way to make it happen.
From the very beginning, Lauren was so very gentle, caring and considerate about the meaning behind the portrait. It never felt like I was simply ordering a piece of artwork, she completely understood that I was trusting her with something incredibly precious to me. She treated the whole process with so much care and compassion, and that meant more to me than I can properly explain.
Her communication throughout the entire process was absolutely amazing. She kept me updated every step of the way, talked me through the process, listened to every detail I mentioned and made sure that I was completely happy with everything before moving forward. What really stood out to me was how much she genuinely cares about giving you the best possible result. She doesn’t just create a generic portrait from a photograph, you can see she takes the time to understand each individual dog and the emotion behind the piece. She completely tailored everything to what I wanted and did everything she possibly could to capture not just his appearance, but his character and essence too. This is something I think Lauren does unbelievably well. There is something about her artwork that makes each dog feel alive within the portrait. She somehow manages to capture each little expression, feature and quirk that make each dog, uniquely themselves. Looking at the finished portrait, I didn’t just see a beautiful drawing of my dog, I saw my finnie ♡ . His personality, his charming face, and the dog that I have spent my entire life growing up with.
The finished portrait was honestly more perfect than I could have imagined. It captured him in a way that I will treasure forever, and I know it is something that my mum will keep incredibly close to her heart. Being able to give her a portrait of a dog who meant so much to both of us is such an emotional and meaningful gift, and I genuinely don’t think it would have been anywhere near as special without the care and attention that went into creating it.
If you’re considering commissioning a portrait of your dog, especially if it is to commemorate a beloved pet or create something sentimental for someone you love, I genuinely cannot recommend Lauren enough. You are not just receiving a beautiful piece of artwork, you are receiving something that has been created with an incredible amount of thought, care and love that has a story to tell.

Lucy, passed away on September 18th, 2024. That loss left a hole that I’m still learning to live with. "I contacted Lauren looking for a special commission piece for my partners birthday, of our cocker spaniel Gus. Lauren was amazing in communicating and working with me to decide on the best picture to use and did an amazing job of keeping me up to date throughout the drawing, to make sure it was what I wanted. When the commission was complete and I saw the drawing for the first time, I was so pleased and really quite impressed. Lauren did a fantastic job and we were both so happy. "My dog passed away in 2015 and unfortunately we didn’t have so many pictures of him and whatever we had wouldn’t look great if blown up into a larger size.
