Your pet holds a huge place in your heart - their portrait should hold the same place in your home. Using meticulous layering techniques and only the finest quality archival materials, I create your pet portrait to ensure it will last a lifetime.
Each artwork is mounted and ready to frame, protected with acid-free cellophane and tissue paper, and carefully placed in a protective postal box, making it perfectly gift-ready on arrival. This also includes a Certificate of Authenticity and an artwork care guide covering how best to look after your portrait. You’ll also get a friendly, professional service with unlimited email consultation, expert guidance and regular updates throughout the creative process.

Start by selecting the size of your portrait. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to recommend the ideal dimensions based on your reference images and display plans. Whether the artwork will sit on a bedside table, shelf or feature on a gallery wall, the right size makes all the difference.
Also think about whether you prefer the look of a square or rectangle artwork, and how the drawing of your pet will sit within those dimensions.
Custom sizes and multi-pet commissions

You will need a clear, well-lit photograph of your pet. It is particularly important to capture the character of your pet through their position or facial expression. Outdoor, natural lighting or by a window works best, avoiding direct sunlight. Be sure the eyes are visible - I usually find that holding a treat directly above the camera is a good way of holding their attention - and the image hasn’t been compressed through apps or screenshots. The better the photo, the better the drawing!
I usually work from one main photo, but additional pictures and your stories about your pet help me bring the drawing to life. If you’re unsure whether your photo is suitable, simply email me a selection and I’ll be happy to advise you. I understand that some of your pets are sadly no longer with us, in which case I will do my best to work with the photographs you have.

Once you’ve settled on a size and sent your images, contact me via email or Instagram to book your commission. A 50% deposit via bank transfer reserves your place on my wait-list. The remaining balance is payable once you’re completely happy with your portrait. Monthly instalment plans are also available - please ask for details.
My current wait-list is around eight months, so if you’re working to a deadline, please mention this and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. I’ll confirm all details (size, photo, timeline) before I begin.

You’re welcome to choose whether you’d like to receive photos as the drawing progresses or prefer the surprise of watching the finished portrait arrive. Either way, you’ll also have the option to view short-form videos of key stages of your artwork (often shared on Instagram after you have received your portrait).
The time needed for each portrait varies according to size and subject. I will provide you with an estimated timeline during our consultation, and keep you informed throughout.

Once your portrait is complete, I’ll send you a few high-resolution photographs for review. Any small alterations can be made at this point if necessary. When you’re fully happy with the result, the final payment is requested, upon receipt of which your portrait will be carefully packaged for sending.

Your artwork will be mounted (acid-free mount and backing board optional), sealed in acid-free cellophane, wrapped in tissue paper with an artwork-care guide and Certificate of Authenticity, and placed in a protective postage box. This option is:
